Meeting Your Chauffeur at the Airport

At the Detroit Metro International Airport the Wayne County Airport Authority has set up designated areas at both terminals for drivers and chauffeur’s to greet incoming passengers. With changes in airport security no longer are chauffeur’s or driver’s permitted past the security screening station to meet you at your gate.  At the MacNamara Terminal serviced by Delta, KLM and Air France your chauffeur will be in a designated area in luggage claim between luggage claim #6 and the elevators standing with a sign that has your last name on it. Your driver will be able to assist you with your luggage and expediently get you on your way. At the North Terminal serviced by American, United, US Airways, Southwest, Air Trans, Frontier and Spirit the designated chauffeur areas are located at each end of the luggage claim area. One designated area is between luggage claim’s #2 and #3 and another designated area is located between luggage claim’s 5 and 6.
